HOW IT WORKS

Three quiet steps to a glowing city

A matte-black card, a wooden stylus, and an hour to yourself. The picture is already there, hidden under the black. All you do is uncover it, line by line, until the whole city glows back at you.

01

Choose your city

Pick a skyline you love, or build a set of them. Paris, New York, Rome, the place you grew up. Start with one or stack a few. Every card arrives as a clean sheet of matte black, ready for you to reveal.

02

Scratch away the black

Drag the wooden stylus across the surface and the black lifts away under your hand. There is no rush and no wrong move. Follow the lines, find your rhythm, and let the rest of the day fall quiet around you.

03

Watch it glow

Gold and colour surface stroke by stroke until the whole city is lit. When you are done, frame it, lean it on a shelf, or wrap it up for someone. What you scratched away is a thing you made.

IN THE BOX

Everything you need is inside

No extra trips, no hunting for tools. Open the kit and you are ready to start the same evening it arrives.

The scratch card

An A4 matte-black card with your chosen city sealed beneath. Thick, flat, and ready to frame the moment you finish.

A wooden stylus

The tool that does the reveal. Comfortable to hold for the long, slow stretch, with a tip made for clean lines.

A free blank canvas

A spare matte-black DIY sheet, included with every kit, so you can design something entirely your own once you have the feel for it.

Simple instructions

A short, plain-spoken guide to get you started. You will have read it before the kettle boils.

WHAT TO EXPECT

No timer. No pressure. No skill required.

About one to two hours

Most cities take a relaxed hour or two from first stroke to full glow, but there is no clock running. Do it in one sitting, or leave it on the table and come back tomorrow. It waits for you.

You do not need to be an artist

This is not drawing. The picture is already there, finished, under the black. You are not creating it from nothing, you are uncovering it. If you can hold a pen, you can do this.

Non-toxic and mess-free

No paint, no glue, no water, no fumes. The black lifts away as fine shavings you brush aside. Safe and simple for ages eight to eighty.

A reason to put the phone down

For the length of one card, your hands are busy and your screen is dark. That is the whole point: a little quiet you can hold.
